Doctrinal Statement

We adhere to and emphasize the foundational truths held in common by evangelical Christians,

our basis of fellowship being oneness of heart and mind in all things of the Lord and adherence to the historic Christian faith expressed as follows:

1) The Bible, verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original manuscripts,

and the infallible and authoritative Word of God;

2) The Triune God in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;

3) The person of Satan, The Devil and his present control over unregenerate mankind;

4) The fall and lost estate of man, whose total depravity makes necessary the new birth;

5) The deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, death, bodily resurrection,

present exaltation at God’s right hand, and personal and imminent return;

6) The atonement by the substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior;

7) Personal salvation by confessing of Jesus Christ as Savior and repenting of sin;

8) A holy, Christian lifestyle of living in obedience to God’s Word;

a. We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship

between one natural born man and one natural born woman and that all intimate

sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual,

or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin. (Genesis 2:24, Exodus 20:14,17, 22:19;

Leviticuas 18:22-23, 20:13,15-16; Matthew 19:4-6, 9; Romans 1:18-31; I Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20; I Timothy 1:8-11; Jude 7)

b. We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one's birth gender is immoral and therefore sin. (Genesis 1:27; Deuteronomy 22:5)

c. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or

female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and

nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

d. We believe that the term “ marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one

natural born man and one natural born woman in a single, exclusive union, as

delineated in scripture (Genesis 2:18-25).

e. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a

woman who are married to each other (I Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4).

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

9) The resurrection of the saved unto everlasting life and blessedness in Heaven, and the resurrection of the unsaved unto everlasting punishment in Hell;

10) The Church, the Body or Bride of Christ, consisting only of those who are born again, for whom He now makes intercession in Heaven and for whom He shall come again;

11) Christ’s commission to the Church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature;
